Provided services
We provide different services around Systems Engineering process, ranging from detailed analysis of existing practices and improvement suggestions, conformance to engineering standards up to formalization through modelling approach, publication on web site and support on new processes through training and coaching.
After feedback with teams we suggest improvements and investigate on applicability according to deployment cost and expected returns at short and long term.
Both deployment cost and expected returns (quantitative metrics) are then discussed/challenged with operational teams and managers and priorities are set.
We conclude with a proposal about efforts and planning to deploy most urgent/useful improvements in customer environment.
After discussing with deviations (some might be justified) and about global engineering policy and strategy we provide recommendations on alignement with standard or keeping some deviations
We provide formal description of processes through standard Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN).
With process modelling it becomes possible to generate a web site from model and then provide immediate and easy access to all system engineers with navigation inside and between processes by simple click on activities and artefacts.
It becomes also possible to generate reports on effective usage of processes and to check completeness and consistency.
We build and deliver dedicated process training with pilot example coming from your company.
Training concerns process use in an effective way (through method and tools in your environment) but can also concern process maintenance (how to manage your processes to ease their maintenance).
Here is a training agenda on 2 days about introduction to Systems Engineering based on ISO/IEC 15288:2015 engineering standard:
Introduction to Systems Engineering – 2 days
Example of mission
- Analyse maturity of system engineering process and alignment with ISO 15288 (systems engineering life cycle standard).
- Provide best practices and quick-win recommendations to formalize engineering processes, to improve connections between processes and ease adoption by system engineers.
